farm blaze - Cheshire Fire and Rescue from Audlem Fire Station displayed a full size fire appliance

Fire crews battled a chimney blaze they found well alight at a house in Nantwich.

Nantwich firefighters were called out to the property on Shrewbridge Road at around 7.30pm tonight (February 23).

They used a hose reel jet and chimney rods to extinguish a chimney fire, which was well alight, inside a mid terraced property.

A thermal imaging camera was then used to check for hotspots of fire in the loft space.

It’s not thought anyone was injured in the incident.
