festival - Museum - red door version April 2020 (1)

Nantwich Museum will be among venues across the North West bringing children and families a day of online activities at their “Museums@Home 2020” event on August 30.

The day is open to all and activities will be focused on questions posed to experts from Nantwich Museum as well as Grosvenor Museum in Chester and The Silk Museum in Macclesfield.

Questions should be submitted by Wednesday August 12.

It will be possible to “Ask an Egyptian”, “Ask a Roman”, “Ask a Victorian”, “Ask a Tudor” or “Ask a soldier from the English Civil War”, or more than one if appropriate.

Questions should be submitted by Wednesday 12 August.

Egyptian ones to Natalie at [email protected]

Roman and Victorian ones to Virginia at [email protected]

Selected questions will be answered through a series of short films at the “Museums@Home 2020” event.

“Museums@Home 2020” is part of a wider initiative including schools and dialogues with teachers are actively being sought to identify requirements.

The plan is to provide more online resources including opportunities to “handle objects” and have a look behind the scenes at local museums and heritage sites.
