
A Nantwich woman has been charged with causing the death of a motorcyclist in a two-vehicle crash on a rural road in 2025.
Hannah Copeland, 24, of Gowy Court, Calveley, has been charged with causing the death of Luke Nabi by dangerous driving on Wednesday February 26th last year.
She was in a car on Hall Lane in Darnhall, near Winsford, when she was in collision with Luke who was riding his motorbike.
Mr Nabi, 38, from Crewe (pictured with his late father), died at the scene despite efforts of emergency services.
Copeland was arrested at the time on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving.
She is yet to enter a plea following appearances at Chester Magistrates Court and at Chester Crown Court.
Copeland’s next appearance is at crown court for a plea hearing on May 29th.
After the accident, Luke’s family from Nantwich paid tribute to him.
They said: “We are heartbroken that Luke was taken away from us so tragically in such awful circumstances.
“Luke was a very special person – one of a kind who lived his life to the full.
“He loved his family and friends fiercely and left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
“A cherished son to Gina and Steve, Luke was also a dear brother to Carly and Jake, and a doting uncle to Isabelle and Olivia.
“He was a much-loved nephew and a loyal friend to so many.
“Luke will be hugely missed by all who knew him. He was loving, caring, funny and selfless – Luke always had time for a chat with anybody.
“We love him dearly and our lives will never be the same without him.”
