Very Best in Stand Up ends live comedy season on high with June show

The Very Best In Stand Up will ends its current season on a high with four top comedians set to entertain at Nantwich Civic Hall on June 5th.

Promoters have saved one of their strongest line-ups for the final show before the annual summer break.

Returning to steer the ship as compete is funny Dave Williams.

A veteran of the circuit and a firm favourite in Nantwich, Dave’s sharp crowd work and easy-going charm make him the perfect host to guide us through our final night of the season.

Opening act is the brilliant Paul McCaffrey, who has appearances on Live at the Apollo, the UK version of Impractical Jokers, and Russell Howard’s Good News.

Known for his hilarious storytelling and relatable observations, Paul’s been wrapping the last shows on his 2026 tour show ‘What A Time To Be Alive’.

Second up and making her Nantwich debut is Kate Barron.

Originally from Canada and now a powerhouse on the UK scene, Kate is known for her unapologetic, witty, and often brutally honest brand of comedy.

She has done TV warm up for The Late Show With James Corden and has performed at some of the world’s most prestigious comedy events – such as the Montreal Just For Laughs festival.

And headline act for the final show of the season is Dan Nightingale.

One of the best performers in the business and co-host of the smash-hit Have A Word podcast, Dan is a comedic force of nature.

A regular at Nantwich over the years, his mix of punchy anecdotes and incredible stage presence ensures a high energy, big laughs close to the season.
