Cheshire East Council has taken a big step towards scrapping its cabinet – but there are concerns that coronavirus COVID-19 could delay the process.
Cheshire East Council has launched a new Covid-19 information hub which includes essential information and updates on changes to council services as a result of the pandemic.
The council is also launching ‘Cheshire East – People Helping People’ – a place for people to offer and request help.
The Crewe West by-elections scheduled for April 23 have been postponed amid the current Coronavirus pandemic.
Cheshire East Council said the decision was made on advice from Government.

A delayed IT project which is set to cost Cheshire’s councils almost twice its original price is now expected to be fully operational next February.
