Nantwich Police have been busy cracking down on drug users and thieves – and reuniting lost dogs with their owners! Operation Washford sees officers from the unit targeting drugs use and target petty crooks in the town and outlying villages.
Cheshire’s new Police and Crime Commissioner is to drop in to Nantwich police station on Beam Street tomorrow (March 27). John Dwyer, a former Crewe & Nantwich Borough councillor, is visiting every station across the county to introduce himself.
A Willaston group is among dozens of organisations to receive funding in the latest round of Cheshire East Council community grants. Willaston Community Opportunities Group (COG) has welcomed a £300 grant which will help fund two more local walk leaflets.
Nantwich Tourist Information is handing out free CDs to people buying tickets for the forthcoming Folk Set In Sandstone event. Anyone buying tickets for both of the next two Cheshire Folk concerts at Bickerton Village Hall, Bickerton, will be given a compilation CD with 17 different tracks.
