Angry Nantwich residents have rubbished Cheshire East Council for delays to the delivery of new wheelie bins they’ve had to fork out for.
The new £30 wheelie bin charge was brought in late last year, which families moving in to new developments like Stapeley Gardens and Kingsbourne are paying.

Wistaston Scout Group (35th South West Cheshire) has set up new aluminium can collection bins in Wistaston to raise money for the group.
The new bins are located in Wistaston on the car park at Wistaston Memorial Hall on Church Lane, outside Wistonia Stores on Kings Drive), and outside the new Co-op on Crewe Road.

A controversial new bin charge is necessary as Cheshire East Council has overspent on replacement bins by £350,000 so far this year, its leader claims.
Cllr Rachel Bailey, Conservative leader of the council, was challenged at a full council meeting on Thursday over the decision to begin implementing a charge for new and replacement wheelie bins from next Tuesday.
More winter snow and ice is causing problems on South Cheshire’s roads and with bin collections. Refuse teams are battling to catch up with bin collections across the region after snow and ice caused a backlog.
