An initiative by NAR Kollective and Reaseheath College in Nantwich has opened the door to professional sports coaching to hundreds of young learners across Cheshire.
The partnership has provided students with Level 3 National Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development and a working knowledge to BSc (Hons) students in Football Coaching.
Reaseheath College’s five football teams have ended their best season by winning or being highly placed in all their league tables.
The college’s alliance with Crewe Alexandra’s Football Education Academy means students had the chance to represent Crewe Alexandra in the Community and Education Football Alliance League (EFL).
Nantwich Town have recruited Andy Porter who joins the club’s first-team coaching staff.
Porter, born in Holmes Chapel, brings a wealth of experience to The Dabbers backroom staff after spells as caretaker manager at Chester, York City and Port Vale.

Nantwich Town forward Steve Jones has set his goals for the year as he looks to start his second season with the Dabbers.
The former Northern Ireland international scored nine goals last campaign and is hoping to beat that next season as well as get in the top six.
Youngsters in Nantwich can take advantage of free football coaching being held at Malbank School.
The sessions are being funded by the Football Association, and are aimed at children aged 5 to 11 during the summer holidays.
