A number of Cheshire pubs have been awarded “COVID Community Hero status” for their work to support local communities throughout the pandemic.
The award is supported by a cross-party group of beer-loving MPs, including Eddisbury MP Edward Timpson.
Nantwich “Covid” heroes have been honoured at a town council awards event to hail those who have gone the extra mile to help during the pandemic.
The awards were staged in place of the annual Mayor’s Salt of the Earth awards which have been on hold for two years due to the pandemic.
Two volunteers have been hailed heroes by residents at the Lyme Wood Grange Retirement Living development in Audlem.

vegetables and their medicines throughout the COVID-19 lockdown.
