I was intrigued by last Tuesday’s launch of the latest Tory splinter group “Popular Conservatism” by Liz Truss.
As the shortest-lasting of the 57 Prime Ministers in the 300 year history of the post, having crashed the economy in seven weeks, she is the most UN – popular major figure in politics. What a joke!
With a new Prime Minister comes a new taxation policy.
Both Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak made their planned tax policies a core feature of their respective bids.

My message to new PM, Liz Truss. These are the priorities the PM needs to act on urgently.
1) Freeze energy bills so people can afford to stay warm this winter

International Trade Secretary Liz Truss is to seek an end to a 5% tariff on the vans which can cost up to £80,000.
