A new Nantwich Football Academy run by Nantwich Town and Malbank School & Sixth Form College, will kick off in September. Sixteen-year-olds can study for a BTEC Diploma in Sport at Malbank Sixth Form while being coached at Nantwich Town FC.

By James Briscoe Nantwich Town boss Danny Johnson has swooped to sign former Crewe Alexandra forward and Northern Ireland international Steve Jones. Jones, 37, gained 29 international caps and also served Burnley and Walsall after stepping up to League football from Leigh RMI.
