Wistaston resident donates outdoor sculpture to village

A kind-hearted Wistaston resident has donated a chainsaw art sculpture she produced to the village so it can be enjoyed by the community.

Sandie Wilson, 61, handed over the 25-inch tall oak sculpture of an owl which has been placed on a plinth in Joey the Swan recreation ground in Wistaston by the Wistaston Conservation Group.

RSPCA staff in Nantwich ‘flue’ to the rescue of an owl which had fallen down a chimney and had become stranded in an empty house!

The RSPCA was called to help fire crew rescue the owl after neighbours had spotted him sitting on the window ledge inside the vacant property.
