A Shavington Leisure Centre member is taking on a gruelling 400-mile walking fundraiser for charity.
Martin Cresswell, 58, is to walk the “Grand Traverse des Alps (GR5)” from Lake Genève to Nice.

The event will include fitness challenges, tours of the new facilities, live music from Cat 107.9FM, competitions and giveaways, healthy smoothie making and more.
Work to revamp Nantwich Pool is to start before Christmas for seven months. The refurbishment includes a new fitness studio, larger fitness suite with new equipment, a new reception, a new entrance with better access, and refurbished changing rooms including a family changing area.
