A woman suffered a broken arm in an incident with a dog by the canal in Acton, Nantwich.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident on the canal towpath near to the marina bridge.
A man is due in court today after a 20-hour stand-off with police on a canal boat in Nantwich.
The drama began at 2am on Friday (August 1) and forced police to close the canal and towpath until an arrest was made just before 10pm that day.

A section of Shropshire Union Canal in Nantwich is to be temporarily closed to walkers to allow for structural investigations.
The towpath will be closed and moorings suspended along the affected section for up to six weeks, the Canal & River Trust notice says.

The Canal and Rivers Trust has urged people to limit their use of canal towpaths around Cheshire during the COVID-19 pandemic.
They say users need to be mindful of people living on boats, and avoid stretches where boats are moored against the towpath.
