Crewe & Nantwich MP Laura Smith MP has thrown her support behind the Back British Farming Day in Westminster.
Farmers play a key role in producing food and caring for the countryside, and employ thousands across Cheshire.
Shadow Health Secretary Andy Burnham toured Leighton Hospital’s emergency department before a major A&E Summit in Westminster. Mr Burnham looked around the department which serves thousands of Nantwich and Crewe residents.
A couple who run a local butcher were invited to Parliament after winning through to the Countryside Alliance national annual awards. Mark and Claire Burrows, of Bunbury, near Nantwich, made it through to the final after winning the “butchers” category in the North West competition.
