An arsonist deliberately started fires in a number of wheelie bins in Nantwich town centre.
Police and fire crews are investigating several linked incidents which happened in the Pepper Street area of Nantwich yesterday (May 28).

A charge for new and replacement wheelie bins will hit Nantwich and Crewe residents next month after a request to look again at the scheme was rejected.
From October, Cheshire East residents will be faced with a £30 charge for the standard 240-litre recycling, black residual waste or garden waste bin, or £25 for a smaller 140-litre bin.

Councillors are urging Cheshire East Council not to go ahead with unpopular plans to charge up to £35 for replacement wheelie bins.
The local authority revealed plans to introduce charges for new and replacement bins in its budget for 2018-19.
Vandals piled up a group of wheelie bins and set fire to them near a Nantwich primary school. Fire crews were called out to tackle the blaze in a bin compound at Wyche County Primary School, on Manor Road.
Nantwich residents are being urged to take their wheelie bins into gardens to prevent high winds blowing them over and littering the streets. Cheshire East Council has had reports of strong winds causing problems with bins which were left out this morning for collection.
