Crewe & Nantwich 1sts put their Cheshire Vase Cup Final defeat to Birkenhead Park behind them as they thumped local rivals Winnington Park 43-6.
The match started in a blast of hail which made everything wet and heavy, slowing the game down for both teams.

Crewe & Nantwich RUFC secured an epic victory over Winnington Park to be crowned Cheshire Bowl winners. It’s the first time for 31 years Crewe have beaten Winnington, and John Ferguson who captained the 1st XV to that last victory in 1982 was in the crowd.
