Curtain Call Productions rocked The Lyceum in Crewe on the opening night of “Our House”.
Directed by Joel Montague, it tells the story of Joe, a young man whose life is facing two very different directions.
With clever direction and amazing dance routines, the stage sometimes seemed too small to fit in all the energy, emotion and movement that the cast gave.
Sean Clark-Wilkinson was superb as the lead character, Joe. He gave absolutely everything in his performance and seemed to be on stage for the entire show.
Alongside ‘Joe’ were ‘Lewis’ and ‘Emmo’, played by Jacob Taylor and Ryan Bearpark respectively.
Both were well cast, providing wonderful comic characters which had the audience in hysterics.
Jess Pritchard played the lead of ‘Sarah’, her voice sounded amazing alongside the music directed by Malcolm Forbes-Peckham.
Despite a few technical difficulties on opening night, ‘Our House’ provides everything a fun-filled musical should do.
It’s packed full of great dance routines, music and songs based from the group Madness and has a wonderful cast who worked extremely hard to ensure a good show.
“Our House” is on at The Lyceum until Saturday 21.
travelled from Shropshire to see the production and our niece..Tara Jayne…one of those ‘amazing’ dancers. What a brilliant night! Great storyline weaving in all those wondeful Madness songs and a thoroughly “professional” performance from a mainly amateur cast. Joe sarah and your four sidekicks…your were all wonderful! As you said it a shame the stage wasnt bigger to accommodate the brilliant dance routines.
