Cheerbrook Farm Shop is looking to expand its team with two new apprentices after a boom start to 2014.
The outlet, based on Newcastle Road, Nantwich, was boosted by a prestigious national award win.
And it won further plaudits at the Chester and Cheshire Food and Drink Awards, with a gold award for its sausages.
This month, Cheerbrook launches its online Sausage Shop.
Now the company, launched in 2000, is looking for support in two of their busiest departments – their butchery and kitchen.
“It’s been a really exciting start to the year for us – recent award wins have definitely helped introduce Cheerbrook to a new audience,” said business owner Andrew Shufflebotham.
“We’re now looking to strengthen the team to make sure we can continue to deliver and improve upon the excellent standards of produce and service our customers have come to expect.
“The apprenticeship scheme is a great way for people to get a foot on the ladder in the food industry and learn their craft from the experienced team here at Cheerbrook.
“We’re looking for enthusiasm and willingness to learn rather than specific experience.
“Apprentices we’ve had in the past have really helped the business and been a real asset to the company.
“We’re looking for two people to embrace this fantastic opportunity and to bring a fresh outlook into the company.”
Cheerbrook, which employs 49 people and supports more than 50 local businesses as suppliers, is also to stage its popular “Big Taste” event on June 14 from 10am to 5pm.
The family day offers the chance for dozens of local suppliers to show off their range of products.
“We’re hoping to see lots of new faces this year,” said Andrew.
“And if recent activity is anything to go by, we’re hoping it will be our biggest event yet!”
