Nantwich Choral Society is staging a special concert to mark the anniversary of World War One.
The performance of Karl Jenkins ‘The Peacemakers’ will be at St Mary’s Church in Nantwich on November 8.
The choir will be performing this with the Northern Concordia Orchestra. John Naylor will be the conductor.
“It’s a very special work which in the words of Karl Jenkins, ‘extolls peace’,” said a spokeswoman for the choral society.
Tickets are £12, students £5 (pay on the door) and available from St Mary’s Church Shop, Nantwich Civic Hall, all choir members, and on the
door, or online at WeGotTickets.com.
Nantwich Choral Society was founded in 1972 and started life as a Local Authority evening class.
It soon went from strength to strength and is now one of the largest and most successful amateur choirs in the region.
Members are drawn from all over South Cheshire and North Shropshire.
It would be very suitable for a 9 year old and, in fact, the work is written in such a way that a childrens’ choir can be included. If you have any further questions feel free to contact me at [email protected]. Regards Sue
