South Cheshire firm Health Shield has landed two top awards – and celebrated a milestone in membership.
The Crewe-based health cash plan provider has notched up its 200,000th member
And staff also won two UK financial awards, beating several well-known brands.
They won in the health insurance sector to win Best Cash Plan at the Cover Excellence Awards and Best Cash Plan Provider at the Health Insurance Awards in October.
Jonathan Burton, chief executive at Health Shield, said: “We’re absolutely thrilled to have won the two most prestigious awards in our industry.
“This tops off an already exceptional year for the society as we have reached a milestone of 200,000 members.
“These tremendous achievements have been accomplished by our commitment to continuing to improve our already high member satisfaction levels.
“Our 2014 survey found 92% of our members regarded their experience of dealing with Health Shield as ‘good’ while 97% said we turnaround their claims quickly.
“We are based in Crewe and we recruit locally so these successes are thanks to the many talented people in the region who work hard for Health Shield and provide the best service to our members.”
