Nantwich Town were just seconds away from taking all three points at home to Buxton, writes Richard Scott.
But an equaliser in the 95th minute of the game gave the Bucks a 1-1 draw at the Weaver Stadium.
The Dabbers were ahead after five minutes through Aaron Burns and all three points looked destined for Danny Johnson’s men.
But a late Shaun Tuton goal finally breached Nantwich’s resolute defence to snatch victory away.
Buxton keeper Arron Jameson dropped an Iain Howard corner to allow Burns to tap home.
The Dabbers could have had a second when Mat Bailey headed onto Adam Jones, but the defender was offside.
Howard tried the spectacular on 17 minutes when he ran through but his shot from distance was wide.
Then Andy White burst into the area, but his shot was just over as the home side dominated early on.
Neil Stevens had the first chance for Buxton from the edge of the area, but it went well wide.
Terry Smith then made a fine save as Bucks captain Laurie Wilson struck from distance.
Andy Pearson nearly made it 2-0 after the break, when he seized on a loose kick but he was blocked.
The Dabbers did have the ball in net on 50 minutes when Kosylo played in Burns but the flag was raised for offside.
Buxton tested Smith with a shot from distance through Tuton but it flew over Smith’s bar.
Then moments later Smith parried a free kick to Young but his effort was off target.
Sub Mark Reed should have equalised when he was free in the area but the forward headed wide.
Buxton created more chances but had left their shooting boots at home as several efforts were wide of the mark.
And Nantwich continued to pose a threat with Howard and Andy White both testing Jameson.
Burns should have sealed the game when a shot from Howard was deflected through, but he fired over the bar.
He was replaced by Mark Winslade in the final few minutes, and seconds later Steve Jones should have wrapped up the points when Jameson tipped a cross to the former Crewe Alex winger but his pull back was blasted over.
And it proved costly as Buxton equalized in the final minute of injury time when Tuton lashed home.
Nantwich are next in action on Boxing Day as they visit local rivals Witton Albion, kick off 3pm.
