A South Cheshire company which fits the ‘black box’ to motor cars, has expanded after moving premises.
Trakglobal Crewe has been delivering telematics solutions including the ‘black box’ fitted to motors cars for the insurance, rental, fleet and automotive industries since 2009.
This includes managing risk on behalf of major insurers for young motorists to reduce their premiums.
Now it has moved from Crewe Hall to Crewe Business Park so it can expand to cope with demand.
A number of new employees have also been expansion recruited, predominantly younger people.
Adrian Bailey, Chairman of the Business, Innovation and Skills Committee, and Crewe & Nantwich Labour candidate Dr Adrian Heald, visited the new site.
Dr Heald said: “The success of Trakglobal is indicative of what business innovation can achieve in terms of job creation for young people, prosperity that benefits the local economy and a product that really does impact on people’s lives.
“It was heartening to hear that the components of the telematics devices are all sourced from UK manufacturers.
“There is much that can be done to attract more companies like Trakglobal to the area.
“If elected as MP for Crewe and Nantwich I will be working to make this happen.”
