Hall Smith Whittingham solicitors Zip wire July 2015

A team of partners from Hall Smith Whittingham Solicitors in Crewe and Nantwich scaled the heights for their local children’s hospice.

The team took on the height and speed of a zip wire challenge to help Hope House Children’s Hospices.

They joined other Hope House supporters at Zip World in Snowdonia where they experienced the nearest thing to flying.

Participants took part in two thrilling zip lines – a confidence builder at a 45mph before building up to the longest zip line in Europe and fastest in the world, reaching speeds of 100mph.

And their hair-raising experience helped to raise more than £700 for the hospice.

The team included Jane Wilson, Kay Masters, Alison Greatbanks and Angela Lewis.

Angela, one of the Hall Smith Whittingham partners, said: “Our daring quartet were excited and a little bit nervous about hurtling headfirst down a zip wire at 100mph!”

The money raised will help support the work of Hope House, which provides care and support to terminally ill children and their families across Cheshire, Shropshire, north and mid-Wales.

It costs the charity £5 million each year to provide practical and emotional support to children and their families who use Hope House services.
