Cheerbrook Farm Shop in Nantwich is to stage its Big Taste event by preparing a record number of award-winning sausages.
Big Taste is Cheerbrook’s annual family fun day which includes a BBQ, fun activities and the chance to meet the farm shop’s local food suppliers.
The team will have used 1,000 kilos of pork in the run up to the weekend, equalling to an impressive 1,500 sausages ready for Saturday’s event.
Cheerbrook owner Andrew Shufflebotham said: “Our Big Taste event is always well supported.
“And with our sausages always the most popular thing on the BBQ, the butchery team has been putting in extra shifts this week to make sure we can meet demand.
“The 1,500 sausages include 20 different varieties. We’re all looking forward to Saturday now and hoping for some BBQ weather!”
Cheerbrook’s sausages have won awards including Speciality Sausage Champion at the North Wales & Cheshire Awards for Excellence in Meat Products 2016 and Best Pork Sausage at the Chester Food, Drink & Lifestyle Awards.
Cheerbrook’s Big Taste event will be held on Saturday July 2 from 10am–4pm at Cheerbrook, Newcastle Road, Nantwich.
Parking and entry is free, and attractions include a bouncy castle, cooking demonstrations, face painting, a birds of prey display by Feathery Folk, a BBQ and lots of delicious local produce to sample and buy.
