A ‘classic car and motorbike meet’ was held at Venetian Marina in Cholmondeston near Nantwich, writes Jonathan White.
The latest meet was an extra event due to a forecast of warm and sunny weather.
Classic car manufacturers on display were Eunos, Jaguar, MG, and Westfield with motorbike manufacturers represented by Harley-Davidson.
The meets are a chance for people to park and meet up outside to have socially distanced discussions about their vehicles and enjoy the beauty of the south Cheshire countryside.
Venetian Marina Tearoom was open late for people to enjoy food and drink next to their vehicles in the car park area or on outdoor seating next to the Shropshire Union Canal – all whilst watching the narrowboats pass by on their journey through the adjacent locks and onward along the canal.
Indoor seating is also available if required.
The meets are free and organised by Venetian Marina Tearoom owner Andrea Nixon and held from March to October on the first Thursday of each month.
Andrea plans to have a Thursday meet in October, and Saturday afternoon meets through the Winter, unless restricted by any new government Coronavirus guidelines or inclement weather.
Venetian Marina is one of the premier marinas in north-west England and also features a workshop, chandlery, and gift shop.
