Nantwich Police are stepping up patrols in Willaston following complaints of anti-social behaviour in the village.
Residents have complained of late night noise and nuisance, particularly in the village park area.
Last weekend, a “for sale” sign on a bungalow in Cheerbrook Road was broken up and stuck in a grid in the road.
Willaston and Rope Cllr Brian Silvester said: “There were a lot of problems down Cheerbrook Road last year when trees and other property was damaged.
“I contacted the police. Last weekend was quiet so I am hopeful the action taken has been successful.”
Insp Dave Smithers (pictured), head of Nantwich Neighbourhood Policing Unit, said anti-social behaviour patrols were stepped up in the village in response to complaints.
“I asked some staff to give the area some attention during the weekend which they did and there were no incidents of note,” he said.
“This suggests these may have been isolated incidents only, but we will continue to pay it close attention as appropriate over the coming weeks.”
