A ‘Musical Extravaganza’ fund-raising concert took place at Wistaston Memorial Hall & Community Centre.
The concert featured Crewe Concert Band conducted by their musical director Adam Shilton.

Villagers have blasted housing developers after a Wistaston landmark tree was ripped up and chucked in a skip.
The solitary hawthorn, known by locals as “the tree”, was uprooted as part of the housing development on Witters Field off Church Lane.

Villagers gathered at the Joey the Swan Recreation ground for the event which was organised by members of the Wistaston Community Council.

A Wistaston musician was instrumental in the Normandy D-Day Commemorations.
The parade in Arromanches, which was screened across the world and watched by millions, was led by Wistaston Drum Sergeant Rob Richardson.
School children from Wistaston left their mark on history as they buried a time capsule at the village’s new housing development for future generations to discover.
Pupils aged 5 to 11 from Wistaston Church Lane Academy put a variety of objects in the capsule, from popular toys like Lego, a squishy and slime to a school uniform, coins, letters to their future selves.

Traffic lights will finally be installed at the A530 Middlewich Road-Wistaston Green Road junction in Wistaston in the next few weeks.
Work is due to be completed during July 2019.
A play park in Willaston is being closed in the evenings amid rising anti-social behaviour on the site.
Police and councillors took the decision after an elderly resident in the village was assaulted on the park.
