Organisers of the biggest annual events in Nantwich have called off the event because of the wet weather. Nantwich Show will not go ahead as planned on July 25 as Dorfold Park is waterlogged, with forecasts predicting more rain over the next 10 days.
An event to raise awareness among residents of local societies will be staged in Nantwich Town Square on July 21. The ‘Societies Spectacular’ will see around 30 clubs and groups giving displays and demonstrations in the town square.
“Are we better off than the Tudors?” is the second in a series of four themed talks at Nantwich Museum. The series forms part of the “Nantwich under the two Elizabeths” exhibition at the Pillory Street venue.

Nantwich Transport Festival pulled in the car fans when it was staged at Nantwich Town’s Weaver Stadium. The festival was due to be held at Barony Park but had to be switched because the park was waterlogged.
Organisers of next month’s Nantwich Show are promising another record-breaking event. Around 36,000 visitors poured through the gates of the show at Dorfold Park in 2011, and directors hope this year’s remains the top one day event in the UK.
Audlem is keeping the Jubilee celebrations going with a “Party on the Park” picnic concert on Audlem Playing Field. The event, on Saturday July 7, has been organised by the Audlem Special Events Team.

Staff from Nantwich housing provider Wulvern Housing joined residents to transform a community allotment. The team got stuck in to tackle the overgrown plot on Crewe’s Derby Docks estate.
