Nantwich Police are offering free security bike marking at an event this Saturday (June 23). Officers from Beam Street police station will be in Nantwich town square running a surgery between 10am and 1pm.
Nantwich residents are being urged to try a new activity to get fit – Nordic Walking. Taster sessions are being staged later this month and in July in a bid to persuade more people to get out during the summer.
By Jonathan White Wistaston Village Fete attracted hundreds of people, despite it being held indoors for only the second time in its 32-year history. Rain forced the event organised by Wistaston Community Council indoors – but there was plenty of entertainment for the crowds.

A smashed car in which a young man died will feature at the Cheshire Police exhibit at the Cheshire Show. The vehicle was being driven in the county when it left the road and hit a tree, killing the driver.

Stapeley Grange Wildlife Centre is staging a Cattery Fun Day and Dog Show on July 1. The centre, based on London Road, Nantwich, is preparing for one of its biggest days of the year with the open day.
Youngsters on half-term holiday can join in the Royal fun with special workshops at Nantwich Museum. The Pillory Street venue will be running a range of activities on June 6 and 7 this week, inspired by the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
By Nicola Tooke The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee was celebrated at Richmond Village Nantwich when residents, guests and staff held a street party. More than 100 people dressed in red white, and blue with The Cat Radio and award-winning Foden’s Brass Band providing the music.
The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee is being celebrated at Nantwich Museum with an exhibition “Nantwich under the two Elizabeths” opening tomorrow (June 2). It’s one of the most ambitious exhibitions to be staged at the Pillory Street venue, occupying both galleries.
