A Nantwich school is staging an evening of “Fireworks & Fun” tomorrow (October 16).
Highfields Primary, on Cumberland Avenue, will stage their annual fireworks display and family fun night from 6.30pm.
Comic heroes and movie characters arrived in Nantwich to help promote the town’s first ever comic-con event, called NANOCON.

The annual “Wheels of War: Past & Present” classic military vehicle show took place at Crewe Heritage Centre in South Cheshire.
Hundreds of visitors flocked to the show where there was also a 40s dance night with the VCO Big Band.

The South Cheshire Model Engineering Society 2015 Open Day will be held on Saturday September 5.
The event, which draws big crowds, will run from 11am until 5pm at the society’s tracksite behind The Peacock Hotel, on Crewe Road, Willaston.
Nantwich Food Festival organisers are looking for fearless foodies to tackle the Rhino Critter Chomp Challenge.
Competitors will face Deborah Bouchard – actress, author and co-owner of Bongos Rock & Roll Pickles, an artisan chilli company, who has signed up to the challenge along with The Nantwich Town Crier.

A total of £318.21 was collected in support of the museum trust which runs the museum – a registered charity which serves the whole community.
