An Army Officer from Nantwich who rescued a casualty while fighting off insurgent attacks in Afghanistan, has been awarded the Military Cross. Lieut William Boreham, 33, was on patrol when a soldier nearby stood on an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) and was severely injured.
Cheshire Police are investigating how one of their officers lost a taser gun cartridge during duties in the county. The search is on the for the cartridge, which police chiefs say is not harmful if left untampered.
