Thousands of families packed Queens Park in Crewe to enjoy the annual Crewe and Nantwich Lions Bonfire & Fireworks Extravaganza.

The crowd was treated to a ten-minute display involving several hundred candles, cakes and one-shot fireworks.

Four men jailed for series of Nantwich burglaries

Four men who burgled shops in Nantwich town centre and stole more than £27,000 worth of stock, have been jailed.

David Benn, Benjamin Benn, Ben Collins and Aaron Hobin were all sentenced at Chester Crown Court, and jailed for a total of 13 years.
