Employees donned scary Halloween costumes and staged a Halloween bake-off with prizes for the spookiest and tastiest cakes.
Staff at Sainsbury’s in Nantwich will be raising money for the Alzheimer’s Society as their new charity of the year.
The choice was made following a vote both on-line and in the store for the three short-listed charities.
New courses for carers are being held in Nantwich by Alzheimer’s Society in Cheshire East.
The courses aim to help the carers of people affected by dementia cope with their roles.
The proceeds of a “Thanks for the Memory” dementia tribute concert was shared between Nantwich Museum and the Alzheimer’s Society.
The event, hosted by Cranage Hall Hotel and Conference Centre, featured music from the 1930s to the 1960s, played by the Dave Egerton Band.
A big band music concert Thanks for the Memory will help raise money for Nantwich Museum’s work with dementia sufferers. The concert, which will feature music from the 30s to the 60s from the Dave Egerton Band, takes place at 2pm on Sunday May 11.
A Nantwich farm shop is supporting a national charity by baking a mouth-watering Gingerbread House. Talented cooks at Cheerbrook, on Newcastle Road, wanted to help raise funds for the Alzheimer’s Society.
