Six puppies found dumped in a box by a busy Nantwich road are now thriving and “full of beans” more than eight weeks on.

The puppies are being looked after by Emma Caskie, of Nantwich-based Animal Lifeline charity.

The 11-week-old Staffordshire bull terrier x American bulldogs have had their first training lessons from undergraduates on the college’s Foundation Degree in Canine Behaviour and Training.

Eight puppies dumped and left for dead in a cemetery have been hand-reared back to health by a team of Nantwich staff and students. The newborn pups were less than a day old when they were found abandoned in a cardboard box in Stoke-on-Trent.
