Youngsters on half-term holiday can join in the Royal fun with special workshops at Nantwich Museum. The Pillory Street venue will be running a range of activities on June 6 and 7 this week, inspired by the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations.
By Nicola Tooke The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee was celebrated at Richmond Village Nantwich when residents, guests and staff held a street party. More than 100 people dressed in red white, and blue with The Cat Radio and award-winning Foden’s Brass Band providing the music.
A Diamond Jubilee Variety Concert will take place tomorrow (June 2) in Wistaston Memorial Hall, Church Lane, Wistaston. The concert features a host of performers including The Grove Singers, Jack Gresty and his trumpet, and a monologue by Tim Lloyd.

Nantwich communities hoping to stage Diamond Jubilee street parties have until April 9 to apply for road closures. Dozens of public and private celebrations are already planned across the Nantwich area on June 2-5 weekend to celebrate the Queen’s 60-year reign.
