Emergency services rescued a woman who had fallen into the River Weaver in Nantwich in the early hours today (November 16).
The incident happened at around 4am on Waterlode.

Works start on Shropshire Union Canal embankment in Nantwich

Engineers are carrying out investigations on the embankment of the Shropshire Union Canal in Nantwich.
The work is taking place between the Nantwich Aqueduct over Chester Road and Bridge 92 near Nantwich Marina, and is being carried out by Arcadis on behalf of the Canal & River Trust.

A blaze on a railway embankment in Willaston which caused disruption to rail and road traffic was caused deliberately, say fire chiefs.
The blaze broke out on parkland next to the railway embankment near Wybunbury Road in Willaston at around 5pm last night.

Firefighters have been battling the blaze off Dunwoody Way in Crewe since it started at around 1.20pm today (June 29).
