Hundreds of villagers turned out for Wistaston’s annual Village Fete for a packed day of entertainment, fundraising and community spirit at Wistaston Church Lane Academy.
The event, organised by Wistaston Community News & Events, returned to the school grounds with the support of the academy.
Worleston Fete is making a return in 2025 with a new venue.
The event takes place in the village near Nantwich on August 2nd from 12pm.
This year it will be held at the Royal Oak pub in Worleston.

Hundreds of competitors took part in the 45th ‘World Worm Charming Championships” in Willaston yesterday.
The event combined with Willaston Primary Academy’s summer fete and took place in the school grounds on Derwent Close.
The Wingate Children’s Centre in Wrenbury will stage its annual “Wingate Family Fete” at Cholmondeley Castle on July 7.
It will be a day full of fun activities, community spirit, and fundraising for the centre which offers active holidays for disabled children.

The event, 11am-4pm, includes a Teddy Bear Hunt, Name the Teddy, Dog Show, Mirabel and Spiderman, Art and Crafts, Market Stalls, Teddy Tombola, Lucky Dip, Hook a Duck, Face Painting, Bouncy Castles, Balloon Animals, Fire Engine and more.

Wistaston Village Fete returns this Saturday June 18 at Wistaston Church Lane Academy on Church Lane.
Entry is by donation and there is a full programme starting at 1.30pm with the Rose Queen procession from Wistaston Memorial Hall to Wistaston Church Lane Academy.
The Wingate Centre in Wrenbury will host its 10th Teddy Bears Picnic in August at nearby Cholmondeley Castle.
The event on Sunday August 22 includes the popular Teddy Bear Hunt, Name the Teddy, art and crafts, stalls, Teddy Tombola, Lucky Dip, Hook a Duck, Face Painting, Bouncy, Balloon Animals and more.

The current Wistaston Rose Queen and her attendant are to continue their roles into 2021 after the village fete was cancelled by COVID-19 pandemic.

Hundreds of people enjoyed the annual Wistaston Village Fete organised by the Wistaston Community Council.
It took place at Wistaston Church Lane Academy, on Church Lane, Wistaston, starting with a procession from Wistaston Memorial Hall led by Scottish Piper Reg Flower.
Worleston’s popular Village Fete will take place on Saturday July 14 from 11am.
The fund-raising event will feature plenty of entertainment for all ages.
Keen photographer Jonathan White has clocked up 12 years of community reporting in and around his village of Wistaston.
