Children across South Cheshire have been busy collecting tins, packets and cartons of food for local Foodbanks.

Cheshire East Council’s former mayor has donated part of his allowance to charity and foodbanks after holding the post for two years.
For the first time, Cheshire East had the same mayor for two years because of the Covid pandemic.
Five South Cheshire schools are keeping the “Harvest Festival” tradition alive and helping to collect items for local Foodbanks in the process.
Primary schools in Shavington, Wistaston, Wheelock, Leighton and Congleton are part of the Learning for Life Partnership Academy Trust.
The RSPCA has expanded its Foodbank partnership to cover Cheshire for pet owners who are struggling.
Foodbanks in Nantwich, Mid Cheshire, West Cheshire and Warrington will benefit from the scheme which first launched by the RSPCA last year.
Specsavers stores across South Cheshire have joined forces to support key Foodbanks in the area.
They join a number of other Specsavers stores across the North West region who have made the same commitment.
