Some of Nantwich’s best eateries were celebrated at a Nantwich Food Awards ceremony at the Civic Hall last night.
Hundreds packed in to the hall as the winners in several categories were honoured on stage.
A Nantwich tearoom has earned an Award for Excellence in The Tea Guild’s Top Tea Place 2012 awards. The accolade means Ginger & Pickles, based on Mill Street, is now recognised as one of the best of its kinds in Britain.
A fun “12 Days of Christmas” hunt has been launched by Nantwich traders, with more than £3,700 of prizes up for grabs. Visitors to the town centre will be on the look out for the images (pictured here) depicting each of the “12 days”, scattered among around 60 stores taking part.
Dozens of retailers in Nantwich town centre have come together to launch a pre-Christmas ‘Sunday Trade’ campaign. Around 70% of independent stores in the town are backing the idea, and will be open on the next four Sundays leading up to Christmas.
Local traders are offering plenty to enjoy at this weekend’s Nantwich Food and Drink Festival. Staff at Ginger & Pickles on Mill Street are hoping to give a big cash boost to charity with a pancake-tossing tournament.
