A £3 million Highways Agency project to repair bridges over the M6 motorway in South Cheshire starts this week.
And it will mean the full closure of southbound and northbound carriageways on some days.
Nantwich and Crewe drivers are being warned that work on the A500 and junction 16 of the M6 will start on Monday 23 June. Two schemes costing a total of £8 million will be delivered by the Highways Agency, one on behalf of Cheshire East Council.

Drivers in Nantwich and Crewe are warned to avoid the A500 and M6 junction 16 after a fire involving a lorry carrying cooking oil. The heavy goods vehicle overturned on the northbound sliproad at junction 16.
The Highways Agency is investigating why two street lights were set on fire on a village road near Nantwich. Fire crews from Nantwich were called out to the incident in Chorley Green.

A lorry driver responsible for the death of two men on the hard shoulder of the M6 in South Cheshire has been jailed for six years. Malcolm John Simpson (pictured) was convicted of two counts of causing death by dangerous driving after a three-day trial at Chester Crown Court.
