Councillors will decide on whether to impose a series of conditions on a controversial housing development in a Nantwich village. Initial plans for 43 houses in Aston were rejected by Cheshire East, but developers are appealing against the ruling.
Nantwich campaigners fighting large housing developments are joining forces with residents facing similar issues in a neighbouring town. Dozens are expected to attend a mass protest march in the centre of Sandbach tomorrow (September 29).

A housing scheme in Wrenbury, near Nantwich, has been given approval following an appeal. Arena Housing Association and MCI Developments had their plans to build 14 affordable two and three bedroom homes on 1.5 acres off New Road turned down by Cheshire East Council’s planning committee.
