A ‘Proms at Acton’ concert is set to return for its fourth year on Remembrance Sunday November 9th at St Mary’s Church in Acton.
Inspired by the famous Last Night of the Proms, it will feature patriotic favourites like Land of Hope & Glory performed by Nantwich Concert Band and soprano soloists Sarah Williamson and Jessica Thayer.

A performance of ‘The Proms at Acton’ will take place on Remembrance Sunday November 12 at St Mary’s Church on Monks Lane in Acton.
The concert, from 6.30pm, will be a medley of rousing music performed by Nantwich Concert Band and feature talented soprano Jessica Thayer.

A “The Proms Acton” fund-raising concert at St Mary’s Church in Acton has helped raise thousands of pounds for Royal British Legion.
The outside of the church was bedecked with wood and crocheted poppies and poppy garlands.

The “Tea at the Tower” community cafe in Acton makes a welcome return from Sunday August 29.
The cafe has remained closed since March 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Opera fans packed in to St Mary’s Church to watch Nantwich Choral Society’s Gala Concert.
John Naylor, musical director, gave a brief explanation of Gilbert and Sullivan’s first international hit, the comic opera H.M.S. Pinafore, before the choir burst forth with two musical numbers followed by a solo from Baritone Richard Suart.
