Nantwich Town have signed former Stoke City and Newcastle Town goalkeeper Dave Parton.
Parton, who has also played for Altrincham and Hednesford, arrives at the Weaver Stadium, has been described as a “big character” by Dabbers boss Phil Parkinson.
Supporters, officials and members of Nantwich Town’s FA Vase winning side enjoyed a reunion at the Weaver Stadium – 10 years on from the famous cup victory.
Then captain and now current manager Phil Parkinson, and then manager Steve Davis, now boss at Crewe Alexandra, were among those present – along with the trophy itself.
Nantwich Town will end their eventful 2015-16 campaign with an end of season awards night on April 30.
Players, officials and fans will be at Weaver Stadium to recognise those who have made the season so successful.
