Amelia Lily is set to bring X Factor the Crewe Lyceum in this year’s Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

She will perform the role of Narrator alongside fellow X Factor finalist Lloyd Daniel’s Joseph at the Lyceum from March 3 to 8.

This colourful retelling of the biblical story about Joseph, his 11 brothers and the coat of many colours, sings out to young and old.

The score is crammed with hits – including Jacob and Sons, Close Every Door and Any Dream Will Do.

“We’re incredibly pleased to bring Amelia Lily to the Lyceum stage for what promises to be a sparkling musical spectacular here in Crewe,” said marketing manager Gemma Whalley.

Amelia, who was mentored by former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, finished third on The X Factor 2011, the year Little Mix claimed the crown.

But despite just missing out, she went on to have chart success with her debut single You Bring Me Joy, which got to number two.

The Middlesbrough-born singer almost missed out on becoming an X Factor finalist after she was eliminated early on in the competition, much to the shock of the viewers.

She was brought back in after a fellow contestant was disqualified, and was reinstated by a public vote, resulting in her nickname the “Comeback Kid”.

Amelia stars alongside Lloyd Daniels and Matt Lapinskas.

Lapinskas will be donning his Elvis outfit to reprise the role of the Pharaoh.

Best known for playing Anthony Moon in BBC EastEnders, he was also runner up in the penultimate series of Dancing on Ice.
