The boss of a motor dealership helped to raise £700 after stepping into the boxing ring at a Nantwich club.
Alex Walker, of the Peugeot dealership Gateway Motor Co Ltd in Crewe, took part in a white collar boxing match in aid of Children in Need.
Alex, who had no previous boxing experience, endured three 3-minute rounds to emerge victorious against his opponent, Jason Middleton.
More than 450 people crammed into Gregory’s nightclub in Nantwich for the event hosted by Mark Felix – an entrant into the “World’s Strongest Man” competition
Twelve bouts took place on the night and each participant was weighed a week before the fight to find a suitable opponent.
Alex said: “Even though it was hard work and I am still aching now, it was an experience I will never forget.
“I am so thankful to those who supported me and helped towards raising money for the charity.”
The dealership has been busy fundraising over the past four months and has now collected more than £1,500.
Donations to support Alex’s bout can still be made online at www.justgiving.com/Gateway-Peugeot-Crewe
