Nantwich boss Jimmy Quinn has strengthened his squad by signing right back Adam Carden.
The 27-year-old joins the Dabbers on a month-long loan deal from fellow Evo-Stik Premier League side AFC Fylde.
Carden will go straight into the squad for Nantwich Town’s away trip to Frickley Athletic tomorrow (Saturday November 10).
He has considerable experience with the likes of Southport, Burscough, Accrington Stanley, Altrincham and FC United and he can also operate in midfield.
“I’m absolutely delighted to have Adam on board,” said Quinn.
“He’s a great acquisition for the club and will give us the experience at right back that we’ve been looking for.
“He has a fantastic attitude and is keen to make a big contribution for us.”
Away specialists Nantwich are facing the form home side of the league in Frickley in an intriguing encounter in South Elmsall.
And Quinn is looking for a response from his side following last weekend’s narrow home defeat to league leaders North Ferriby United.
“It was disappointing, as whilst we didn’t play that well, we could have got something from the game, but mistakes cost us,” he said.
“However we have a fantastic bunch of lads here with a great attitude and they have worked hard all week and we will be looking to put on a good show tomorrow and continue our good away form with a decent result.
“We are working hard behind the scenes to strengthen the squad in a few areas so that we can make a concerted effort to remain in the race with the other title challengers.
“Hopefully there will be some more additions as well over the next week or so, but for now our focus is on tomorrow and a good performance and three points.”
