Five French college students have arrived in Nantwich to improve their English and to extend their knowledge of the retail trade.
They are studying a Baccalaureate de Commerce and have been invited by Sainsbury’s on Middlewich Road to join their staff for five weeks.
The students will have the chance to work in different departments and to interact with other Sainsbury’s employees as well as customers.
During their stay in Nantwich, they will have accommodation at Regent’s College in Nantwich and will be provided with all their meals.
Sainsbury’s manager Ian Sutton said: “I think this is a fantastic scheme as it gives these young students an insight into the British retail trade.
“In addition, they can improve their English and our employees at the store can also try out their French.
“They have already been made welcome by our staff and customers.”
