Staff at a coffee shop in Nantwich are flat out with the launch a new children’s competition – to design a mouth-watering crepe.
Swirly Whirlys on Pillory Street has launched the innovative competition to coincide with summer holidays as the town’s schools break up this week.
All youngsters under 16 are invited to send in a suggestion of an exciting flavour they would most like to see as the finishing touch to the fresh crepes made at the St Luke’s Hospice shop.
The winning entry will then appear on the Swirly Whirlys coffee shop menu from mid August, so the winner’s friends and family can try it for themselves.
Swirly Whirlys manager Helen Giordano said: “We are so excited to launch this latest initiative, and can’t wait to see what innovative flavour suggestions come in.
“And as the winning topping/filling suggestion will be featured on our menu for a period of time, it will be interesting to hear the feedback from our customers.”
Every coffee, crepe and ice cream sold at Swirly Whirlys helps to fund St Luke’s (Cheshire) Hospice.
The shop was opened in October and has so far raised thousands of pounds.
A new Butterfly Garden recently opened at the rear of the shop.
To enter either email your toppings or filling suggestion, with the entrant’s name, address and daytime contact number to [email protected] or call into Swirly Whirlys with your entry on an A4 piece of paper to hand to the coffee shop team.
Deadline for entries is August 1st, 2013.
