Reaseheath College has been given the thumbs up by Ofsted inspectors over how it cares for younger students on campus.
An Ofsted report into the Nantwich college gave it the highest accolade for support, development and care of 16-18 year old residential students.
Reaseheath has onsite accommodation for 685 students, up to 200 of whom are under 18.
The report gives Reaseheath “Outstanding” awards for its effectiveness in all four areas inspected – outcomes for young people, quality of service, safeguarding, and leadership and management.
Among the comments from the Ofsted inspection team, they praised the college for developing personal and social skills, maturity and behaviour of students, safety on campus, zero tolerance of bullying, and strong support from welfare team and safeguarding officers.
Reaseheath Principal Meredydd David said: “This is a fantastic and well deserved result.
“I am extremely pleased and proud and would like to congratulate all the college teams and staff that have made this great outcome possible.
“In particular, the Ofsted inspectors commented on the enthusiasm, commitment and creativity of our staff and how they go the extra mile for students.
“They also noted the improvements and developments within the student services and welfare team and the progress made in addressing recommendations since the last inspection.
“The inspectors also commented on the wonderful college grounds and setting and on how well they are respected and used by students.
“This has been a great way to finish off a very successful academic year.”
